Silvio Santos was one of Brazil’s most famous television presenters, known for decades of variety shows on SBT, and his expressive reactions made him a natural source for memes. Around 2021, short clips of him asking “Que?” and “Como?” began circulating widely as downloadable edit material, especially in Brazilian meme and video-editing communities. Because the question is instantly recognisable even without subtitles, creators kept reusing it as shorthand for disbelief, and it remains a staple reaction sound in Portuguese-language edits and social videos.
Sobre este sonido
A short clip of Brazilian TV presenter Silvio Santos asking “Que?” in a confused tone, used in memes as a quick reaction to surprising or absurd moments.
This is a very short burst of Silvio Santos reacting with a sharp, questioning “Que?” that sounds half surprised and half disbelieving, delivered in his familiar, upbeat Brazilian television voice. The clip is barely longer than a second, so the question lands instantly and leaves no room for explanation, which is exactly why it works as a punchline. Played over a confusing clip, an unexpected twist, or a statement that makes no sense, it makes the viewer feel like the presenter himself has just stopped the show to ask what just happened.
