Sonic CD launched in 1993 for the Sega CD and introduced time travel between past, present and future versions of each level. Its seven Time Stones are hidden in special stages accessed through giant rings, and collecting them all unlocks the good ending. The collect sound became familiar to retro players through ports and re-releases on modern platforms. Fans still use it online in gameplay clips and edits as a shorthand for earning a rare collectible and making progress in a classic Sonic adventure.
Sobre este sonido
The Sonic CD collect sound effect from the original 1993 Sega game, a bright sparkling chime heard when a Time Stone is collected to travel through time.
This is the collect jingle from Sonic CD, played at the moment Sonic grabs a Time Stone. It is a short, sparkling chime sequence with a rising, magical shimmer that feels rewarding and urgent at the same time. The tone is bright and crystalline, very different from a normal ring pickup, which signals that something rare and important has been obtained. For viewers it creates instant recognition and satisfaction, marking real progress toward travelling to the past and changing the future of Little Planet in the game.
