Neco-Arc began as a joke parody of Arcueid Brunestud from Type-Moon's Tsukihime series and became a breakout character in the Melty Blood fighting games. Online, her squeaky voice and chaotic edits turned her into a staple of anime meme culture. This version pairs her shout with a flashbang gag that spread through short form edits and soundboards, where the sudden blast became the punchline. It stays popular because the setup is instantly readable, even for viewers who have never played the games or seen the source series.

Neco-Arc shouting think fast before a flashbang blast, the chaotic anime meme sound used for sudden jumpscares, edits and reaction videos online.
This clip features Neco-Arc, the chibi cat version of Arcueid, yelling a frantic warning just before a blinding flashbang hits. Her high pitched, garbled delivery is instantly recognisable, mixing cute anime energy with pure chaos. The shout builds for a split second, then the bang overwhelms everything, making ears ring and the joke land through sheer surprise. It feels less like dialogue and more like a trap, perfect for catching viewers off guard when they expect a calm scene. The contrast between the tiny voice and the violent blast is what makes it so replayable.
