Wake Up was released as a single by Japanese group AAA in 2014 and became the seventeenth opening theme for the One Piece television anime, used during the Dressrosa arc. The song was written to mark the series fifteenth anniversary, which explains its celebratory return to earlier adventure themes. Clips of its chorus later spread through anime edits, AMVs and social video, where the short vocal hook works even without the full song. Fans still reach for it as a nostalgic shorthand for the Straw Hats and the start of a new voyage.
