Mater is the rusty, good-natured tow truck from Pixar's Cars, first released in 2006 and voiced by Larry the Cable Guy. Known for his thick accent, loyalty to Lightning McQueen and easygoing comic timing, he became one of the franchise's most quoted characters. Short exchanges like this one circulate online as reaction audio, shared in edits and on soundboards because the setup and punchline are complete in a few seconds. The line works without context, which is why creators reuse it for surprise entrances and playful ambush jokes.

Mater from Cars sneaks up in this short voice clip where someone asks where he is and he answers right behind you, perfect for surprise reveal jokes.
This is a short dialogue exchange built around a simple surprise gag. One voice asks where Mater is, and Mater himself replies cheerfully that he is right behind them, delivered in his familiar friendly truck voice. The humor comes from the timing, because the answer arrives as if he has been standing there the whole time listening. It feels light, playful and instantly readable even without the picture, making the moment work as a quick punchline for an unexpected appearance or a character popping up where nobody expected them to be.
