Gaty is a contestant in Battle for Dream Island, the long running animated object show created by Jacknjellify that began on YouTube in 2010. She appears in later seasons including Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two, where contestants compete in teams and face eliminations by viewer vote. Clips of characters reacting are widely reused by the fandom in edits, compilations and soundboards, and a short outburst of crying is especially portable. It survives outside full episodes because the emotion is clear in seconds, even without the scene.

Gaty crying from Battle for Dream Island, a short tearful sobbing clip used in edits and reactions for sad, disappointed or dramatic moments.
This is the sound of Gaty, the wooden gate character from Battle for Dream Island, breaking into an upset cry. The clip runs for a few seconds of wobbly, high pitched sobbing, with sniffles and a trembling voice that makes the sadness feel exaggerated rather than realistic. Because Gaty is normally calm and dry, hearing her cry stands out and instantly signals hurt feelings or a sudden loss. Creators use that contrast for comic effect, dropping the sobs over a minor setback so a small disappointment plays like a heartbreaking scene.
