Discord launched in 2015 as a chat platform for gamers and later grew into a home for communities, study groups and friend servers. Its incoming call ringtone became part of everyday online life as voice calls replaced older chat apps for group hangouts. Clips of the sound spread across YouTube, TikTok and meme edits, often as a joke about being pulled into a call at the worst moment. It remains widely used because so many people hear it daily and instantly link it to friends waiting in voice chat.
À propos de ce son
The incoming call ringtone sound effect from Discord, used in memes about ignored calls, late night gaming chats and friends suddenly joining voice.
This is the bright, looping incoming call ringtone from Discord, a short electronic chime that repeats with a friendly but insistent bounce. The tone rises and falls in a clean digital pattern that anyone who games or hangs out in voice chats recognises instantly. Hearing it out of context creates instant anticipation and mild panic, as if a friend is about to drop into the channel. It works because the sound is tied to social connection, late conversations, and that split second decision to answer or pretend you are away.
