Discord launched in 2015 as a chat app for gamers, and its incoming call ringtone quickly became one of the most recognised sounds in online gaming. This version builds on the original discord call by adding a yee vocal for comic effect, separating it from a plain discord notification. Clips like this spread through meme edits, stream highlights and soundboards where a familiar interface sound needs no explanation. The joke still works because millions of users hear that ringtone daily and instantly understand someone is trying to join.
À propos de ce son
The Discord Call Yee sound effect twists the familiar incoming ringtone with a playful vocal, and creators use it for memes, join alerts and funny edits.
This clip takes the bright, looping chime of a Discord voice call starting up and layers it with a drawn-out yee that turns recognition into a joke. The ringtone rises in its usual cheerful pattern, instantly signalling that someone is joining, waiting, or about to speak, then the added vocal twist breaks the expectation. It lasts just long enough to build anticipation before the punchline lands. Viewers familiar with late-night gaming chats feel the Pavlovian urge to answer, which makes the sudden silliness funnier and perfect for fake call-ins or interrupted scenes.
