The laugh comes from Death Note, the anime adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's manga, which aired in Japan in 2006. It belongs to Light Yagami, a student who takes on the alias Kira after finding a notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. As Light's god complex grows, his unhinged laughter becomes shorthand for his descent into villainy. Clipped and shared across YouTube, TikTok, and soundboards, it survived as a reaction sound for scheming, winning, and darkly comic triumph.
À propos de ce son
Kira's maniacal laugh from Death Note is an anime sound effect used for dramatic reveals, villain moments, and plot twists in memes, edits, and streams.
The clip captures Light Yagami, known as Kira, breaking into a long, escalating iconic laugh that starts controlled and quickly turns wild, breathless, and unsettling. His voice rises in pitch as he revels in a plan coming together, mixing triumph with menace in a way that instantly signals a villain who believes he has already won. Listeners recognise it immediately because it feels both almost theatrical and unhinged, making a scene feel darker, funnier, or more dramatic depending on the edit.
