Home Alone was released in 1990 and became a Christmas comedy classic, following Kevin McCallister as he defends his house from burglars Harry and Marv. Marv, played by Daniel Stern, suffers a string of traps involving paint cans, a hot doorknob and a tarantula, producing several famous screams. The longest yell has been clipped and reused for years in edits, remixes and soundboards, because its exaggerated panic works for almost any painful accident, scare or disastrous fail, even without the film scene behind it.
À propos de ce son
Marv's scream from Home Alone, the burglar's long terrified yell after Kevin's traps hit. Creators use it for painful fails and jump scare reactions.
This clip captures Marv, one of the Wet Bandits burglars in Home Alone, letting out a long, high, drawn out scream as one of Kevin's booby traps catches him completely off guard. The yell starts in shock and keeps building, cracking with pain and panic while it stretches far longer than a normal reaction. That over the top delivery is what makes it so funny to hear out of context, turning a moment of real suffering for the character into a cartoonish expression of horror that instantly signals something has gone terribly wrong.
