Mas oq é isso is informal Brazilian internet Portuguese for but what is this, with oq standing in for o que in casual online writing. The phrase has become a handy reaction shorthand in Portuguese-language memes, short videos and group chats, where a single questioning line can carry an entire response to something odd. Its staying power comes from that flexibility: it fits gaming clips, everyday surprises and absurd edits alike, and listeners recognise the tone even before they parse every word.
À propos de ce son
A Brazilian Portuguese reaction clip of a surprised voice asking Mas oq é isso, used in memes and reaction videos when something unexpected appears on screen.
This clip captures a single spoken reaction in informal Brazilian Portuguese, roughly translated as but what is this, delivered with the rising, incredulous tone of someone who has just spotted something strange. The voice is clear and direct, with the emphasis landing on the final word, which makes the question feel both confused and amused rather than angry. That mix is exactly why it works so well in short edits: it instantly signals disbelief, gives the viewer a beat to register the odd moment on screen, and lets the joke land without any extra explanation.
