In Brazil, this clip circulates as a reaction sound rather than a line from a film or television show, and its nickname comes from listeners comparing the raspy quack to a laughing relative. Shared in meme videos, group chats and short-form edits, it is used when a normal laugh would feel too plain and a stranger sound gets the joke across faster. Its appeal sits alongside other animal laugh clips like the cat laugh meme and the baby laughing meme, which turn a giggle into a punchline. The ten-second length makes it easy to drop in without trimming.
À propos de ce son
A raspy duck laugh that sounds like a wheezing chuckle, used in Brazilian memes as a reaction to jokes, fails and awkward moments in videos and chats.
This is a ten-second clip of a duck laughing in a rough, human-like way, with short, breathy quacks that rise and fall like a smoker's chuckle. The laugh is raspy and slightly wheezy, which makes it sound less like a farm animal and more like someone who cannot stop giggling at their own joke. Played over a video, it turns a small fail or a dry punchline into something absurd, because the listener expects a normal laugh and gets a duck instead. It works best as a sudden reaction, landing right after the funny moment and letting the weird, gravelly sound carry the joke on its own.
