The line comes from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, the anime arc following Jotaro Kujo's group, which aired in Japan in 2014. During Dio's final confrontation with Noriaki Kakyoin, Dio shouts 'Shine, Kakyoin!' — Japanese for 'Die, Kakyoin!' — in a delivery so theatrical it became a meme in its own right. Clips of the scream circulated on YouTube and meme pages, where editors remixed it into edits, reaction videos and mashups, keeping Dio's shout alive in anime culture long after the arc ended.
