Squallor were an Italian comedy music group known for satirical, irreverent songs that mixed catchy pop melodies with deliberately provocative lyrics, and Cornutone is remembered by fans as one of their cult favourites. The short excerpt now circulates mainly as a meme sound, shared in edits and reaction videos by listeners who recognise the hook instantly. Its lasting appeal comes less from chart success than from nostalgia, humour and the group's distinctive, tongue-in-cheek style, which still feels recognisable decades later.
À propos de ce son
A short clip of Cornutone by Italian comedy group Squallor, with its catchy sung hook, often used in memes and edits for a cheeky nostalgic pop moment.
The clip captures a short, punchy slice of Cornutone, sung in Italian over a light, bouncy backing track that feels deliberately cheeky rather than polished. The vocal delivery is playful and exaggerated, leaning into Squallor's trademark irreverent humour, while the melody stays simple and easy to recognise even on a first listen. At just over nine seconds it lands quickly, giving editors a burst of retro Italian pop energy that can turn an ordinary reaction shot into something knowingly absurd and funny without needing any explanation.
