CBAT is a track by Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke that gained a second life online after a Reddit post turned it into shorthand for overconfident sex music. The story spread across Reddit and TikTok, where creators reused the beat to joke about awkward intimacy, misplaced confidence, and moments that take themselves far too seriously. Because the hook is instantly recognisable and short, it works as a punchline on its own, and it has stayed in meme edits long after the original post faded.
À propos de ce son
The bass-heavy CBAT hook by Hudson Mohawke, turned into a viral Reddit meme for awkward intimate moments and used in edits to signal overconfident sex music.
This six-second clip loops the punchy, bass-heavy hook from Hudson Mohawke's CBAT, with a bright, slightly off-kilter synth riff riding over a driving electronic beat. It sounds confident and overblown for such a short loop, which is exactly why it lands as a joke: the music feels far too serious and intense for an ordinary moment. Played over a scene, it instantly frames the action as awkwardly dramatic, self-assured, or uncomfortably intimate, and listeners usually recognise the beat within a second or two, even if they cannot name the track.
