À propos de ce son

This 1.5-second clip is Heavy, the hulking Russian heavy-weapons specialist from Team Fortress 2, saying 'Not Big Surprise' in a slow, gravelly, almost bored voice, with no music or background noise behind him. It feels dryly funny and unimpressed, the joke landing because his flat tone refuses any shock. The line comes from Valve's shooter Team Fortress 2, released in 2007, where Heavy is one of the playable classes.

Conseil pro

Let the predictable moment finish completely before you press it, so Heavy's deadpan line is the first reaction the audience hears and the understatement does the work.

Bon à savoir

Place it right after the failed attempt lands, as the closing reaction in a fail sequence. For a fuller build-up, open with CJ Here We Go Again, let the mishap play out, then close with this clip before cutting to Nope Meme Sound for the final dismissal.

FAQ

Can I save the Not Big Surprise clip as a ringtone on my phone?

Yes, the MP3 can be saved to your phone and selected as a ringtone in your sound settings, so Heavy's line plays when calls arrive.

Does the Not Big Surprise line work for non-gaming memes about predictable fails?

Yes, it works well beyond gaming because the joke is the obvious outcome itself, so it fits failed tricks, spoiled twists and everyday moments where everyone saw the result coming.

What should I pair with Not Big Surprise for a short fail montage?

A build-up sound before the mishap and a short dismissal after it work best, keeping this clip as the closing reaction that confirms the outcome was expected all along.
