Toothless is the Night Fury dragon companion of Hiccup in DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon franchise, and the second film, released in 2014, centres on his rise as an alpha dragon. His alpha roar marks that shift in status, a moment fans quickly clipped and reused across fan edits, reaction videos and short-form posts. It endures because it is instantly recognisable to franchise fans and works without dialogue, giving creators a ready-made signal for dominance, protection and a turning point in a story.
