The Wide Putin format grew out of online meme editing, where a clip of Vladimir Putin walking was stretched horizontally to make his stride look wider and more imposing. Shared widely in short-form videos and reaction edits, the joke relies on presentation rather than a new event, turning a routine walk into a deliberately overblown entrance. That simple visual twist made it easy to reuse, so creators now drop the associated sound into gaming clips, pet videos and everyday walk-ins whenever they want a mock-serious, main-character moment.
À propos de ce son
The Wide Putin walking meme clip, stretched for comic effect and paired with a confident stride, used in edits for dramatic entrances and boss-like walk-ins.
This clip captures the joke at the heart of the Wide Putin meme: a familiar walk turned into a slow, stretched-out, almost cartoonish strut that feels far grander than the moment deserves. The pacing is deliberate and confident, with a steady, swaggering rhythm that makes an ordinary entrance feel like a power move. Viewers tend to laugh because the contrast is so clear, a serious political figure presented as a larger-than-life character in a parody edit. It works best as a punchline in itself, setting up a reveal or letting a character enter a scene with exaggerated importance.
