Ratinho, the stage name of Brazilian television presenter Carlos Massa, has hosted the long-running variety show Programa do Ratinho on SBT for decades, and his exaggerated shouts and reactions became a fixture of Brazilian internet humor. The 'AAAEEEEETA' yell is one of several of his vocal outbursts that circulate as short reaction audios, passed around in meme pages and group chats whenever someone wants to overreact on purpose. Its appeal is the sheer commitment: a fully unleashed scream compressed into just over two seconds, instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up with Brazilian TV.

Brazilian TV host Ratinho's iconic drawn-out scream, the viral 'AAAAEEEETAAA' yell, used by creators over shock reveals, epic fails and jumpscare memes.
It is a raw, throat-shredding yell stretched over about two seconds, starting as a rising 'AAAAA' that cracks into a strained 'EEEEETA' before snapping off. Ratinho's voice carries that unmistakable Brazilian variety-show energy, equal parts anguish and theatre, which is why the clip lands so hard: it turns any small on-screen disaster into a full-blown catastrophe. Played loud, it hits like a cartoon siren of despair, and the abrupt ending leaves the listener mid-panic. Creators love it because the scream needs no translation; the panic is universal, and the delivery is pure over-the-top entertainment.
