The chant comes from the Professional Darts Corporation's throwback footage of a Rotterdam event in 2016, where supporters of Dutch darts star Raymond van Barneveld sang together as the Barney Army. Van Barneveld, a former world champion and one of the sport's most recognisable Dutch players, inspired a loyal travelling fanbase whose chant became part of his walk-on atmosphere. Shared online as a short piece of crowd cheering, the clip has kept circulating among darts fans and sports editors who want an instantly recognisable burst of arena support.

The Barney Army chant from the Rotterdam darts crowd in 2016, singing in support of Raymond van Barneveld. It is used for sports hype and celebration edits.
This is the sound of a darts arena crowd chanting together for Raymond van Barneveld, known to fans as Barney. Voices rise and fall in a rhythmic, football-style chant, layered over the general roar, clapping and excitement of a live crowd, with no single speaker dominating the recording. The chant feels warm, loyal and slightly cheeky, turning a tense match moment into a shared celebration. Hearing it instantly suggests a room full of people backing one favourite, which is why it works so well as a burst of crowd energy in edits, even for viewers who have never watched darts.
