Marshall D. Teach, better known as Blackbeard, is a major antagonist in Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga from 1997 and its anime adaptation from 1999. Oda gives many characters distinctive laughs, and Teach's Zehahaha became closely tied to his greed, confidence and unpredictable betrayals. As One Piece clips spread on YouTube, TikTok and soundboards, the laugh was isolated as a shorthand for a villain enjoying his own scheme. It remains popular because fans recognise the character instantly, while non-fans still hear it as a classic evil laugh.

Blackbeard's Zehahaha laugh from One Piece, the booming villain laugh of Marshall D. Teach used for evil reveals, power moves and anime memes.
This clip is Blackbeard's signature Zehahaha laugh from One Piece, a deep, rolling cackle that stretches the syllables into a smug, menacing rhythm. It starts low and confident, then rises into repeated bursts that sound too pleased with themselves to be trusted. Unlike a heroic laugh, it signals ambition, cruelty and a plan already in motion. Hearing it instantly turns a character into the scheming villain of the scene, which is why a short drop can make an ordinary win, betrayal or plot twist feel larger, darker and funnier at the same time for viewers.
