The clip comes from a German live stream in which Exsl95 phones his ex-girlfriend Vanessa while CommanderKrieger watches the call unfold. The moment was clipped and shared as a short sound because the awkward, real-life phone conversation stood out from typical scripted stream content. It has since circulated among German-speaking viewers and on soundboards as a shorthand for uncomfortable calls and ex-partner drama. Its appeal is its authenticity, a brief, unscripted exchange that listeners instantly recognise as the start of an awkward conversation.

Exsl95 calls his ex-girlfriend Vanessa live on stream while CommanderKrieger watches, a short German meme clip used for awkward phone call reactions.
This short clip captures German streamer Exsl95 phoning his ex-girlfriend Vanessa during a live broadcast, with fellow streamer CommanderKrieger watching on. The audio is a brief, tense slice of a real phone conversation, delivered in German with the awkward pauses and uncertain tone you would expect from calling an ex on camera. It feels uncomfortable, funny and oddly compelling at the same time, because the listener knows everyone in the stream is listening in. That mix of second-hand embarrassment and curiosity makes it work as a quick reaction sound for awkward calls, failed apologies and moments when someone says the wrong thing at the worst possible time.
