Happy Tree Friends began as a series of short Flash cartoons released online in 1999 by Mondo Media, created by Kenn Navarro, Aubrey Ankrum and Rhode Montijo. The show became known for cute forest animals meeting gruesome, exaggerated accidents, and Nutty quickly stood out for his constant sugar rush and nervous energy. His scream clips were later ripped and shared on meme soundboards, where cartoon fans and editors reuse them as a standalone reaction. It remains popular because the delivery is instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up with early internet animation.

A short high-pitched scream from Nutty in Happy Tree Friends, the hyperactive squirrel obsessed with candy. Often used for panic and over-the-top reactions.
This is Nutty's signature scream from Happy Tree Friends, a quick, shrill burst that lasts just over a second. Nutty is the jittery green squirrel whose candy obsession usually leads straight into disaster, and his voice snaps from giggly excitement to pure terror in an instant. The pitch is high, frantic and unmistakably cartoonish, with no words, just raw panic. Placed over any sudden mishap it instantly makes the moment feel more extreme and funny, because the scream is bigger than whatever caused it on screen.
