The Poki emote arrived in Fortnite in 2020 as part of the Icon Series, a line of in-game cosmetics celebrating popular creators. It was made for streamer Pokimane and copies a dance she popularised online, with its cheerful music composed to loop during the animation. Clips of the emote spread quickly across TikTok, YouTube and Twitch as players shared lobby dances and creator reactions. It remains a familiar reference for Fortnite fans, and the music alone is now used to signal a playful dance break.
