Slap Battles launched on Roblox in 2021 as a chaotic arena game where players use different gloves to knock each other off the map, and Bob became one of its most recognisable gloves. Clips of Bob's scream spread through Roblox edits, YouTube Shorts and TikTok as a reaction for getting launched or caught off guard. Like the ROBLOX oof, it turned a brief in game voice cue into a standalone meme sound that players recognise instantly, even without seeing the gameplay that produced it.

Bob's scream from Roblox Slap Battles is a short, high pitched yell used in gameplay clips, edits and memes for sudden hits and chaotic moments.
This is the short scream performed by Bob, the glove character from the Roblox game Slap Battles, lasting just under two seconds. It is a loud, strained and slightly comical yell that spikes in pitch as if the character has just been launched across the arena. The abruptness makes it feel both painful and funny, so a normal slap or fall instantly reads as dramatic. Creators use that exaggerated panic to punctuate knockbacks, failed jumps and surprise hits, letting the scream do the reacting for the player on screen.
