Sly Marbo is a legendary Astra Militarum soldier from Warhammer 40,000, hailing from the death world of Catachan and clearly inspired by Sylvester Stallone's Rambo. In the lore he fights alone behind enemy lines, striking from the jungle before vanishing again. That reputation made his screaming ambush a favourite joke among Warhammer fans online, where the clip is shared in gameplay videos and meme edits whenever one character appears from nowhere and wins. The humour relies on everyone knowing Marbo is meant to be impossibly stealthy and deadly at once.

Sly Marbo scream sound effect from Warhammer 40,000, the Catachan hero's loud battle cry used for jumpscares, ambush memes and funny edits.
This clip captures Sly Marbo letting out a long, over the top battle cry as he bursts into action. The scream starts suddenly and stays intense, turning a lone Catachan soldier appearing from nowhere into a full jumpscare moment. It works because the sound is completely serious in tone but absurd in timing, so viewers feel ambushed along with whoever is on screen. Editors love that contrast, using the raw jungle fighter energy to make a surprise entrance, a sudden attack, or an impossible solo victory feel even more ridiculous and memorable.
