The SSC Tuatara is a limited production hypercar from SSC North America, first shown as a concept in 2011 and launched in production form in 2020 with a twin turbocharged V8. It became widely known online after its controversial top speed record attempts, which turned the car into a symbol of the modern top speed race. Clips of its engine starting, revving and pulling hard circulate among car communities, gaming editors and soundboards, where the recording is reused far beyond footage of the actual car.
