Tank Dempsey first appeared in Call of Duty World at War's Zombies mode and returned across the Black Ops games as one of the original playable survivors alongside Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen. Voiced by Steve Blum, the wisecracking Marine became a fan favourite for his aggressive one-liners during rounds, weapon pickups and power-up grabs. Clips of his lines spread through YouTube montages, forums and soundboards in the 2010s, and short exclamations like this one remain popular with players who grew up with classic Zombies.

Tank Dempsey saying awesome from Call of Duty Zombies, a short excited voice line used for wins, loot drops and reaction edits in gaming videos.
This is Tank Dempsey, the American Marine from Call of Duty Zombies, delivering his enthusiastic awesome in a loud, gravelly shout. The line is pure Dempsey bravado, fired off like he has just cleared a round, grabbed a power-up or survived something that should have killed him. It is short, punchy and instantly recognisable to Zombies players, with that over-the-top soldier energy turning a simple compliment into a celebration. Dropped over gameplay it makes an ordinary moment feel like a big win and usually gets a laugh from anyone who knows the character.
