Raul Gil is a veteran Brazilian television presenter whose variety shows have long used audience applause as part of the spectacle, and 'Vamos aplaudir' became one of his most recognisable calls to the crowd. Shared as a short clip, it travels easily among Brazilian meme, podcast and reaction-video fans because the reference needs no explanation for viewers who grew up watching Raul Gil.
