WALL-E is the title character of Pixar's animated film WALL-E, released in 2008. The robot's electronic voice and expressive sound design became one of the movie's most memorable features, helping the character communicate emotion with very little speech. Short WALL-E audio clips spread in meme edits, reposts and fan videos because they are instantly recognizable and easy to drop into reaction moments. The sound still gets used for cute, futuristic or slightly sad comic timing.
