Deep Rock Galactic is a co operative first person shooter by Ghost Ship Games, released in full in 2020, about dwarven miners working for Deep Rock Galactic on the hostile planet Hoxxes IV. The Scout is the fast, mobile class with a grappling hook and flare gun. Mushrooms grow throughout the caves and have become a community in joke, with players using the ping tool to mark them constantly. The Scout mushroom callout spread through clips, streams and soundboards because it captures that shared habit perfectly.

This is the Scout dwarf from Deep Rock Galactic shouting about a mushroom in a bright, excited callout that lasts just over a second. The voice is high energy and slightly echoey, like a ping echoing through the caves of Hoxxes IV, and it cuts off cleanly with no background music. In game it is part of the running joke where dwarves obsessively mark every mushroom they see, and out of game that over the top enthusiasm makes any ordinary object or discovery feel like a major event.
