El Psy Congroo comes from the visual novel and anime series Steins;Gate, where it is the signature closing phrase of protagonist Rintaro Okabe in his Hououin Kyouma persona. He often says it into a phone or to close a conversation, treating it like a secret organisation password. The series and its time travel story made the line iconic among anime fans, alongside Mayuri Shiina's cheerful Tuturu greeting. It spread through forums, fan edits and conventions as a recognisable in-joke, and it is still quoted as a shorthand for a dramatic, conspiratorial sign-off.

El Psy Congroo is Rintaro Okabe's catchphrase from Steins;Gate, spoken as a mysterious sign-off. Fans use it for anime edits and mad scientist moments.
This clip is the short spoken phrase El Psy Congroo, delivered in a low, serious and deliberately mysterious tone by the self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintaro Okabe. The words themselves have no clear translation and are presented in the series as a secret code and personal sign-off. Lasting only a few seconds, the line feels like a password being shared before something important happens. It creates instant intrigue, making an ordinary moment sound conspiratorial, dramatic and knowingly over the top, which is why fans recognise it immediately even out of context.
