Known in Thai as klong muk, meaning joke drum, this sting comes from the long tradition of live comedy drummers punctuating gags on stage and on television variety shows. A quick roll and crash told the audience when to laugh, and that cue survived the move to short online clips. Editors now use it as a universal punchline marker in memes, gaming edits and chat videos, especially when the joke is deliberately corny and needs an unmistakable sign that the silliness was intentional.
Tentang suara ini
Thai joke drum sound effect with a quick rimshot sting, used after a punchline, bad pun or awkward joke to land the comedic timing in videos.
The sound is a short drum sting built around a snappy hit and a bright cymbal crash, the classic ba dum tss pattern played right after a joke lands. It is tight and dry, with no crowd noise or extra music, so the timing stays obvious even at low volume. The hit announces the punchline, pauses the moment for half a beat, and lets the listener register that something was meant to be funny. That exaggerated punctuation makes weak puns funnier and turns an awkward silence into part of the joke itself.
