Old Gregg says 'strong arms' in his creepy swamp voice from The Mighty Boosh, a short voice line fans drop for awkward bragging and meme edits.

This is Old Gregg, the watercolour-loving merman from The Mighty Boosh, proudly announcing that he has strong arms in his soft, unsettling voice. The delivery is gentle and oddly polite, which makes the brag sound even stranger coming from a swamp creature in a tutu. It lasts only a couple of seconds, just the two words delivered with complete confidence. The contrast between the creepy character and the innocent flex is what lands the joke, turning a throwaway line into an instant reaction for weird confidence, surreal humour and British comedy fans.

Tips profesional

Drop it right after someone lifts something light or shows off in a video, then cut to silence. The joke works best with a hard cut and no build-up, so do not layer music underneath or the soft delivery gets lost.

Informasi lebih lanjut

Old Gregg first appeared in The Mighty Boosh in 2005, in the episode The Legend of Old Gregg, played by Noel Fielding. The half-man, half-fish creature lives under a lake, paints watercolours and traps Howard Moon after a fishing trip. Noel Fielding's soft voice and the character's strange mix of menace and loneliness made the scenes endlessly quotable. Clips circulated on YouTube and forums for years, and short lines like this one became reaction sounds in edits, streams and soundboards long after the show ended.

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

He simply says the words strong arms in his distinctive soft, creepy voice. The clip is only the short boast itself, with no music or other dialogue, which is why creators use it as a quick punchline after a display of strength.
