Alan Stokes and Alex Stokes, known online as the Stokes Twins, built a large audience on YouTube and TikTok with prank, challenge and comedy videos. Their sus clip borrows from the slang that spread widely through Among Us and wider meme culture, where sus is short for suspicious and is used as a light accusation. As short reaction audio became a staple of edits and soundboards, the twins version was clipped and reused on its own, separate from any full video, as a fast way to label a moment as shady or not quite believable.

The Stokes Twins sus sound effect from Alan and Alex Stokes, the short suspicious callout creators drop into funny reveals and awkward moments.
This is a short voice clip of the Stokes Twins delivering the word sus as a quick, deadpan accusation. The delivery is flat and drawn out just enough to sound like a joke verdict rather than a real argument. It works because everyone instantly understands the implication, that someone is acting suspicious, lying, or hiding something obvious. Dropped into a pause or over a guilty facial expression, it turns an ordinary moment into a playful callout and lets the audience share the suspicion without any extra explanation needed.
