The sound comes from the Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolfe's long-running web series built around furious, comedic reviews of old and badly designed video games. In the Bugs Bunny birthday review, that familiar format is applied to a cartoon platformer, turning simple gameplay frustration into an extended rant. Clips from the series have circulated for years as reaction audio on video sites and soundboards, and this one survives because the Nerd's over-the-top anger is instantly recognisable even without seeing the game.

AVGN rants and beats down Bugs Bunny's birthday game in this 28-second clip from the Angry Video Game Nerd review, used for mocking frustrating retro games.
This clip captures the Angry Video Game Nerd in full rant mode as he works through Bugs Bunny's birthday-themed video game, his voice shifting from sarcastic disbelief to loud, exasperated shouting. The delivery is fast, theatrical and deliberately over the top, with sharp insults, mocking asides and the unmistakable frustration of someone losing patience with a clumsy retro platformer. It lands as pure comic anger rather than a calm review, making the moment feel like a punchline in itself and giving editors a ready-made burst of exaggerated rage to drop over a gameplay fail.
