Badger Badger Badger was created by British animator Jonti Picking, known as Weebl, and released as a Flash cartoon in 2003 on Weebl's Stuff. The short loop of badgers, a mushroom and a snake quickly became one of the early internet's most shared animations, passed around by email and forums before video platforms existed. Its simple chant made it easy to quote, remix and recreate, and it later appeared in countless YouTube compilations and meme edits. It endures because the rhythm is instantly recognisable even to viewers who never saw the original cartoon.

The chanting badger badger mushroom song from the classic Flash animation, with badgers, a mushroom and a snake. Used for silly loops and nostalgic edits.
This is the instantly recognisable chant from the Badger Badger Badger animation, where a row of cartoon badgers bounces up and down while repeating the word badger over and over, before the scene cuts to a mushroom, then back to badgers, then to a snake. The vocals are simple, rhythmic and deliberately monotonous, layered over a bouncy electronic beat that makes the repetition feel hypnotic rather than annoying. It sounds silly, childlike and endlessly loopable, and that is exactly why it sticks in your head and makes viewers smile the moment they recognise the pattern.
