Abarenbo Shogun is a long running Japanese period drama that first aired in 1978 and became best known for Ken Matsudaira playing Tokugawa Yoshimune, a shogun who disguises himself to fight corruption in Edo. Its bold title call became instantly recognisable to generations of television viewers in Japan. This very short excerpt, noted online as a section used by a creator called Sorane, has since circulated on its own as a reaction sting detached from the series, borrowed whenever a scene needs instant old school authority.
