Casanova comes from Mid-Fight Masses, a popular fan-made mod for the rhythm game Friday Night Funkin', where players face Selever, a demon character related to the game's antagonist Sarvente. The mod gained a large following after its release in 2021, and its songs spread through gameplay uploads, covers, and fan animations on video platforms. Casanova remains a favourite because its catchy melody and Selever's distinctive performance are easy to recognise, even in a short clip, and it continues to appear in edits long after the mod's initial popularity.
