The line comes from De Luizenmoeder, the hit Dutch comedy series that premiered in 2018 and became a national catchphrase machine. Set around a primary school and its intense parent culture, the show's deadpan one-liners spread far beyond television into memes, quote pages and reaction clips. 'Dat vinden wij niet raar' caught on because it perfectly parodies polite Dutch understatement — declaring the absurd completely normal. Years after the finale, the phrase still circulates online as a reaction to anything strange, keeping the show's humor alive in short-form video.

The deadpan Dutch catchphrase 'dat vinden wij niet raar' from De Luizenmoeder. A sarcastic reaction sound for weird or awkward moments in memes and video edits.
A five-second voice clip of the Dutch line 'dat vinden wij niet raar' — 'we don't find that weird' — delivered in a flat, unbothered tone that makes it funnier than any punchline. The speaker sounds completely calm, as if the strangest thing in the world has just been declared perfectly normal. That deadpan delivery is the whole joke: it lands as polite, passive-aggressive acceptance of chaos. Creators use it as a reaction beat, a caption punchline, or a cold open before something absurd. The drier the delivery in the edit, the harder the line hits.
