The Donkey Kong Country 2 map music, Welcome to Crocodile Isle by Dave Wise, with its calm tropical melody for exploring the overworld and nostalgic videos.
The track is the gentle overworld theme that plays while you move around Crocodile Isle in Donkey Kong Country 2, and it lasts just over a minute before looping. Soft synthesized flutes and warm pads drift over a slow, swaying rhythm, with light percussion and a relaxed bass line giving it a breezy tropical feeling. It never rushes or becomes dramatic, instead creating a calm sense of adventure as you choose the next level. For many players it brings back the quiet moments between stages, the feeling of exploring a colourful island map, and the unhurried charm of a classic Super Nintendo soundtrack.
