K.K. Slider, also called Totakeke, has been Animal Crossing's resident musician since the series began in 2001, performing original songs in a made up vocal language. Billie Jean was released by Michael Jackson on his 1982 album Thriller and became one of pop's most recognisable tracks. Fans online began remaking famous songs in K.K.'s style, imagining how he would cover them during his in game shows. Those remixes spread through YouTube and soundboards, where this Billie Jean version remains popular with Animal Crossing and meme communities.

K.K. Slider's Animal Crossing style cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, sung in his signature gibberish vocals for memes and fan videos.
This clip is a fan style rendition of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean performed as if by K.K. Slider, the guitar playing dog musician from Animal Crossing. The familiar bassline and melody are recreated in a bright, bouncy arrangement while the lyrics are replaced with K.K.'s signature animalese babbling and rhythmic howls. It lasts about twenty five seconds, long enough to recognise the chorus hook instantly. The contrast between a serious pop classic and the cute, nonsensical vocal makes it feel funny and oddly catchy, turning a well known song into a lighthearted in game concert moment.
