Informazioni su questo suono

The Lucas Urps THX sound is a burp parody of the classic cinema intro crescendo, used for fake movie openings and over the top reveals in videos.

This clip takes the huge, rising THX cinema sound everyone knows from the start of a film and turns it into a joke, with the polished sweep undercut by loud burping tones. It starts grand and serious, building like a real theatre intro, then the urp twist makes the whole thing feel ridiculous instead of impressive. That contrast is the point. Viewers expect something epic and get a gross, silly payoff, which makes it perfect for deflating a moment that is trying far too hard to look cinematic or important.

Suggerimento pro

Play it over a black screen or fake studio logo at full volume and let the whole five seconds build before cutting to something tiny or dumb. Do not fade it out early, the joke lands when the grand intro finishes.

Reveal a tiny object with huge cinematic build up.
Mock a friend presenting something completely unimportant.
Start a parody trailer before the joke cuts in.

Ulteriori informazioni

THX became famous for the booming theatre intro played before films, designed to show off cinema sound systems with a single rising chord that fills the room. Lucas Urps is a long running joke version of that moment, swapping the prestige of the original for burps and keeping the same sense of scale. It spread through soundboards and meme edits as a shorthand for fake epic, where creators borrow the language of a big premiere to introduce clips, games and reveals that are deliberately small, cheap or absurd.

Domande frequenti

What is the Lucas Urps THX sound?

It is a parody of the famous THX cinema intro, built around a rising, room filling crescendo that is undercut by burping sounds. The joke comes from the gap between the grand theatre presentation and the crude, silly payoff at the end.

Where does the original THX sound come from?

The original comes from THX, the cinema sound company founded by Lucasfilm, whose logo intro plays before films in theatres. Its rising Deep Note chord became instantly recognisable, which is why parody versions like Lucas Urps work without any explanation.

How do people use the Lucas Urps THX sound?

Creators place it at the very start of a video, usually over a black screen or fake logo, and let it play in full. It works best before an anticlimax, a parody trailer, a gaming clip or a reveal that is intentionally underwhelming.
