MTM Enterprises was the television production company founded in 1969 by Mary Tyler Moore and Grant Tinker, and its initials came from Moore's name. Its closing logo parodied the famous MGM lion by placing a small tabby cat, Mimsie, inside a similar gold wreath. Over the years the cat was sometimes dressed or altered for specific shows, which made the logo a running joke for regular viewers. Versions like the 1996 one kept the familiar meow, and clips of it now circulate online among fans of classic TV logos and end credits.
Informazioni su questo suono
The 1996 MTM Enterprises logo sound with Mimsie the cat meowing in the gold wreath, the classic TV production sting used for retro television posts.
This is the short closing sting from the 1996 MTM Enterprises production logo, built around Mimsie the cat sitting inside a gold film wreath. Instead of a lion roaring, the cat gives a clear, high pitched meow that lands as the punchline to the logo. The sound is brief, clean and instantly nostalgic, with the meow taking centre stage over the quiet logo finish. It works like a tiny sign off, funny because such a small, cute noise replaces a grand studio roar, and viewers familiar with classic American television recognise it immediately from the end credits of older shows.
