Pizza Tower is a 2023 indie platformer from Tour De Pizza starring Peppino Spaghetti, built around fast, expressive Wario Land inspired levels. At the end of each stage the game grades combo, time, secrets and score, awarding ranks from D up to S and the rare P rank. The C and B rank cue became a shorthand online for doing okay but not great, shared in gameplay clips, edits and memes whenever a run was competent yet far from perfect.

The Pizza Tower C and B rank jingle from the level results screen, a short disappointed ranking sting players use for mediocre scores and average attempts
This is the results screen sting heard in Pizza Tower when a level is finished with a C or B rank, the middle grades below the coveted S and P ranks. A brief, deflated musical flourish and ranking jingle plays while Peppino reacts to a merely decent performance, making the moment feel anticlimactic rather than triumphant. The contrast between the game's frantic energy and this underwhelming payoff is what makes it funny, turning an ordinary clear into a small comedic letdown that players instantly recognise from speedruns and score attempts.
