The clip comes from the 2023 pilot of The Amazing Digital Circus, the indie animated series created by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. Pomni, a newly trapped performer voiced by Lizzie Freeman, laughs as the reality of the digital circus overwhelms her. The pilot went viral on YouTube, and the moment became a shorthand for nervous breakdowns online. Its frantic cartoon delivery invites comparisons to a classic Woody Woodpecker Laugh, but Pomni's version is more panicked than mischievous, which helped it spread in edits, remixes and reaction posts.

This is Pomni's strained, escalating laugh from the pilot episode of The Amazing Digital Circus, starting nervous and quickly spiraling into a frantic, almost screaming cackle. Her voice cracks and stretches as the panic sets in, making it sound less like amusement and more like a complete mental overload. The seven second clip captures that exact moment of forced cheer turning to dread. Viewers feel the tension instantly, which is why the sound lands as both funny and unsettling, perfect for a character who has clearly lost control.
