Puffball is a contestant in Battle for Dream Island, the animated object show created by jacknjellify, and later returned in Battle for BFB and The Power of Two. Her high pitched voice and innocent design made her screams a favorite clip among fans who edit episodes into short memes. As BFDI edits spread on YouTube and TikTok, this scream became shorthand for an over the top reaction, reused far beyond the original scene by creators who had never watched the full series.

Puffball screams in this short BFDI sound effect from Battle for Dream Island. Creators use the high pitched scream for funny panic, reactions and edits.
This is the shrill, drawn out scream of Puffball, the fluffy pink contestant from Battle for Dream Island. Her voice spikes into a loud, wobbly shriek that sounds both panicked and cartoonishly cute, which is why it lands as funny instead of scary. The clip starts almost instantly, so the shock hits before a viewer can brace for it. That contrast between her sweet look and the piercing noise makes it perfect for sudden reactions, fake horror moments, and edits where a character realizes something has gone completely wrong.
