The line comes from Clash of the Titans, where Zeus orders the Kraken, a giant sea monster from Greek myth, to be unleashed. Liam Neeson's delivery in the 2010 remake and its trailers turned the phrase into a widely quoted catchphrase. Clips and parodies spread it across meme pages and video edits, where release the kraken meme searches kept it circulating long after the film. It is now used far beyond mythology, as shorthand for setting loose anything wild, messy or unstoppable.
Informazioni su questo suono
The dramatic Release the Kraken line from Clash of the Titans, used as a meme sound effect for unleashing chaos, big reveals and dramatic entrances.
Release the Kraken is a short, booming command delivered with full mythological weight, as if summoning a giant sea monster on cue. The voice is deep, theatrical and deadly serious, which is exactly why it lands as comedy when paired with something small or ordinary. In under two seconds it turns a normal moment into a final boss entrance, building instant tension before whatever appears next. Viewers hear it and expect something huge, dangerous or ridiculous to be unleashed, and the contrast between the epic delivery and the payoff is what makes the clip so reusable.
