The sound comes from football fan culture around Declan Rice, the England midfielder, and the wordplay in his surname. Set to the instantly familiar rhythm of Ice Ice Baby, the chant turns a player name into a catchy hook that is easy to sing, share and reuse. Online, it has spread through short football edits, goal celebrations and fan memes, where the familiar tune does much of the work. It endures because it is short, positive and immediately tied to one recognisable player, making it a handy shorthand for praise after a strong performance.

A football chant turning Declan Rice's name into a playful take on Ice Ice Baby, used by fans and creators in goal clips, edits and football memes.
This is a short football chant built around Declan Rice's name, played as a pun on the hook of Ice Ice Baby. A voice repeats Rice Rice Baby in a rhythmic, sing-song delivery, with the familiar bounce of the original track underneath, making it instantly recognisable even before the football connection lands. It sounds playful and confident rather than aggressive, like a terrace chant turned into a meme clip. For a viewer, the joke lands in seconds, bringing a grin, a sense of celebration and the feeling of a crowd backing its midfielder.
