The sound comes from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, released in 1982, in which William Shatner as James T. Kirk screams the name of his enemy Khan Noonien Singh. The line became one of the most quoted moments in the franchise and later a staple internet meme, remixed, parodied, and used as a shorthand for over-the-top anger. Its lasting popularity comes from Shatner's committed delivery, which remains instantly recognisable even to viewers who have never seen the film.

The iconic KHAN scream from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, shouted by Captain Kirk in rage. Used as a dramatic meme reaction for anger and frustration.
This is Admiral James T. Kirk shouting the name Khan with full, drawn-out fury straight into a communicator. It is a single human voice, stretched and echoing with theatrical rage, no music or other effects behind it. The sheer excess of the delivery makes a normal moment of annoyance feel operatic, which is why it lands instantly as comedy rather than genuine anger. Played over a face, a chat message, or a minor inconvenience, it turns petty frustration into a legendary vendetta in just two seconds.
